This NSi Industries 652A photocontrol and timer extension cord accepts 125 VAC input, has two grounded outlets, and can power a 1,875 watt lamp or 1/2 hp motor for applications such as Christmas lighting and fountain pumps. The photocell turns on lighting at dusk and works with screw-base compact fluorescent (CFL) and LED bulbs. The photocell turns lighting off at dawn, unless a user-selectable delay of 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours has been set. This 6.5" extension cord is Underwriter Laboratories (UL) Listed and Canadian Standards Association (CSA) certified for quality assurance and suitable for controlling outdoor lighting and equipment motors, such as fountain pumps.

Automatic switches are used to turn on or off electrical devices and are activated by time, light, and motion. Motion-activated switches (also known as motion sensors) operate when an electronic field of a preset range is interrupted. These switches can include energy saving logic that uses combinations of time, light, and motion to operate and can include one or more device outlets or circuit contacts. Automatic switches are used to control indoor lights, outdoor lights, appliances, and small equipment motors.
